He stumped Penn & Teller three times on their hit TV show Penn and Teller Fool Us.  He has amazed and entertained audiences from all over the world, including his own off-Broadway run.  He is hailed as one of the most unique and innovative illusionists in the world.

Combining breathtaking visuals with Vitaly’s captivating style, An Evening of Wonders is an interactive theatrical experience that takes the audience on a magical journey.  Along the way, Vitaly blends art and illusion to illustrate the story of his transformation from a boy with a dream, to a man with a vision—the vision of a world where the rules of reality do not exist.  In this world, paintings spring to life, photographs become mini-movies, and audience members see their faces vanish from their own driver’s licenses.

Featuring some of the most original illusions ever witnessed—many of which touch on tender topics such as love, loss, and growing old—Vitaly’s An Evening of Wonders does more than entertain.  It moves, inspires, instills a fresh perspective on life within all who experience it, as well as a greater realization that ours is a world of beauty and wonder.

Suitable for adults and children 8 years of age and older.

Josephinea burlesque cabaret dream play combines cabaret, theatre and dance to tell the story of the iconic Josephine Baker, the first African American international superstar and one of the most remarkable figures of the 20th century. The show is intended for adult audiences as it contains adult content and nudity. Josephine shatters stereotypes of race, gender roles and sexuality in this intimate, charming and haunting cabaret with a twist.

Born in St. Louis in 1906, Josephine Baker achieved only moderate success in the United States, but became an international superstar after moving to France in the early 1920s. She starred alongside white romantic leading men in films in the 1930s, had multiple interracial marriages and homosexual relationships, and performed in men’s clothing before the term “drag” existed in the lexicon. Her adopted country of France gave her the opportunity to live freely without the racial oppression of her home nation – although she never stopped yearning for acceptance in America.

Suitable for Adults and older teenagers.

Mirror Mirror, who is the funniest in the land?

The Queen has always been the “fairest in the land”, because her Magic Mirror tells her so!  But when the Queen hears that Snow White has surpassed her, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to get rid of her . . .  forever!  Fortunately, Snow White escapes into the Deep Dark Woods, where she chances on a tiny cottage.  Little does she know that the Seven Dwarves who live there will help save her!  This classic story of our heroine, as she encounters hapless Huntsmen, bad apples and little men with big hearts and short tempers, comes to life as DuffleBag helps Snow White towards her “happily ever after!”

Join the “nearly world-famous” Dufflebag Theatre as they bring this classic story to Nanaimo with an interactive show that includes the whole audience.
